ANSIBLE-BASE 2.10.5 NOW GENERALLY AVAILABLE
The Ansible Core team announced the general release of Ansible-Base 2.10.5 on January 18th. This ansible-base package consists of only the Ansible execution engine, related tools (e.g. ansible-galaxy, ansible-test), and a very small set of built-in plugins, and is also bundled with the larger Ansible distribution. ANSIBLE 2.9.17 RELEASED
The Ansible Core team announced the availability of Ansible 2.9.17 maintenance release on January 18th. Follow this link for Rick Elrod’s email to the ansible-devel mailing list, to obtain details on what’s new, installation instructions, and link to the full changelog.
NEW/UPDATED COMMUNITY COLLECTIONS
- The Community Sops Collection version 1.0.2 has been released. This is the first 1.x release.
- The PostgreSQL collection for Ansible 1.1.0 has been released, containing bug fixes and a new query option.
- The MySQL collection for Ansible 1.2.0 has been released with bug fixes and code refactoring.
REQUEST FOR COMMENTS - KUBERNETES COLLECTION
The Kubernetes inventory plugin is being refactored to improve overall operation. We would like your comments on how this plugin is being used. Does the refactoring make sense? What is the impact, if any, of the changes? Are there other improvements to be made to help users? Please add your feedback to this GitHub issue.
PROPOSAL FOR ANSIBLE NETWORKING
The Ansible Network Engineering Team is cordially welcoming comments from the Ansible Network community for the following proposal: BGP Global and AF Context Resource Model. The enablement of BGP as network resource modules for supported platforms has long been requested, and is now being scoped and planned for implementing this year. Please provide feedback in the next few weeks!
THE ANSIBLE TEAM IS HIRING
The Ansible Content Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has Python programming experience. The location is remote India. Please feel free to reach out to Trishna Guha directly if you are interested.
The Ansible Product Marketing team has 3 jobs available as Technical Marketing Managers (individual contributors, managing content, not people) that will focus on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform:
- Technical Marketing Manager
